Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Wild Buddy is a digital subscription platform providing access to app-based features and services.

This Privacy Policy explains how Wild Buddy collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data. Wild Buddy is operated by Fjärran Sports AB, Sweden.

2. Data We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address
  • User ID
  • Username
  • Optional profile emoji/avatar
  • Newsletter preferences
  • Account timestamps

Authentication Data

Managed by Supabase Auth: login timestamps, IP addresses, user-agent information, OAuth data (Google login if used).

User Content

Uploaded images, uploaded audio, species collections, AI chat messages, saved observations, friend relationships, optional location data.

Subscription and Billing Data

Handled partly through Shopify and Seal: subscription status, billing interval, order metadata, customer identifiers, payment status. Wild Buddy does not store full payment card numbers.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process data based on contract performance, legitimate interests, user consent, and legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Processors

Wild Buddy uses third-party service providers including:

  • Supabase (database, auth, storage)
  • Cloudflare (hosting, edge compute)
  • Shopify (payments, orders)
  • Seal Subscriptions (recurring billing)
  • Google Cloud / Gemini (AI features)
  • OpenAI (AI features)
  • Google OAuth (optional sign-in)

These providers may process data on our behalf.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

Wild Buddy uses essential cookies and local storage necessary for platform functionality. We do not currently use advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels.

6. Analytics

Wild Buddy currently does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or advertising trackers.

7. User Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
  • Data portability (export)
  • Withdraw consent
  • Object to processing

You can download all your data and delete your account directly in Settings. For other requests, email privacy@wildbuddy.se.

8. Data Retention

User account data is retained while accounts remain active. Deleted accounts trigger deletion of associated profile and collection data. Certain payment and accounting information may be retained according to Swedish legal obligations (typically 7 years).

9. International Users

By using Wild Buddy, users understand that data may be processed within the EU and by global infrastructure providers.

10. Children's Privacy

Wild Buddy is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under the age of majority must have parental or guardian consent.
